Manyatera on the Parkway

A marimba band appears on the Blue Ridge Parkway, performing Manyatera near Graggy Gardens. Nobody asked for it, but the mountains didn't mind.

We had just played a gig earlier that day and figured "why go home when we could haul a truckload of giant wooden marimbas up a ridge and throw a concert for clouds?!"

We set up a full marimba ensemble on the edge of a mountain and played to no one in particular – just the wind, the ridgeline sunset, and a few very confused crows.

But we had a fun time, and got a great video out of it too!
